DIRECTOR’S NOTE

Bored? What is that? Since the day I invited the Lord into my life I have been everything but bored. This world has so many needs and trials that I can be busy for eternity. I pray for wisdom on what to put my hand to and I keep coming back to the Care Net Center’s mission of reaching out to a lost world with education, empathy and direction from God Himself. This ministry to women who think they might be pregnant opens a door of opportunity to share what is truly important in life. I hope we will be able to reach more people in the future as we expand our services. Our Center is currently working towards the goal of offering free Ultrasound and STD testing to our clients. Please pray that the finances to support this much-needed ministry will be brought forward. The Care Net Board has developed a vision statement that I am in heartily agreement with:

VISION STATEMENT

The vision of Care Net Pregnancy Center of Wayne County is to change lives of sexually active individuals by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and providing care through our network of pregnancy related services. We offer free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, sexually transmitted disease testing, education for abortion minded and/or vulnerable clients, abstinence education to encourage positive Lifestyle choices and referrals to appropriate agencies.

FUTURE PROJECTION FOR 2006
Great plans are being set into motion this year at Care Net Pregnancy Center. As we move forward in our goal to offer free ultrasound to our surrounding communities we realize the potential of offering much more. With the ultrasound opportunity we must hire an RN trained for limited Obstetrical Ultrasound. We will incorporate offering free S.T.D. testing at that time. We know that this will bring in more sexually active clients than ever before. To meet the need we feel it is necessary to also hire a part-time Abstinence Director for this challenge.

To reach this goal we need to hire:
Nurse (to run ultrasound & STD testing — 8hrs. Per week $10,000 per year
Abstinence Director (for schools, youth groups) -----------5,000
Increased Insurance--------------------------------------3,000
Training Costs-------------------------------------------- 2,000
TOTAL--------------------------------------------- $ 20,000 Year
